Whiteville, Tennessee - Our History

The Town of Whiteville was first founded as a trading post in the early 1800's and was incorporated in 1901. The town was first known for its agricultural roots in cotton production and is now known as one of the fastest growing communities in the area. Its proximity to the cities of Bolivar, Oakland, Stanton, Memphis and Jackson, Tennessee, via the four-lane Highway 64, make it an ideal "commuter community" for those wishing to escape congested urban areas.
